BOISE, Idaho — The No. 14 Boise State Broncos travel to Provo, UT to take on the BYU Cougars in a rivalry matchup at 8:15 p.m. MT on Saturday. The game will air on ESPN2.
The Broncos (6-0, 3-0) enter the matchup with a major unknown at quarterback, as coach Bryan Harsin hasn't said if freshman Hank Bachmeier is ready to return from his injury that he suffered against Hawai'i last week. The injury report won't be released until moments before kickoff, but it's likely that sophomore Chase Cord will step in at quarterback in this week's game if Bachmeier isn't back to 100%.
The Cougars (2-4) enter tonight's game on a three-game losing streak, including losses to 3-3 USF and 4-2 Toledo. BYU also has lingering questions at quarterback as both their starter, Zach Wilson, went out due to surgery on his thumb. Then backup Jaren Hall went out last week in the second half against USF with a concussion. Injuries leave the Cougars with freshman Baylor Romney at quarterback.
