BOISE, Idaho — Boise State reeled in the first member of its 2025 recruiting class Sunday with a verbal commitment from a speedy playmaker out of the Lone Star State.

Liberty Christian wide receiver Quinton Brown took to social media to say "I'm home," roughly one month after receiving an offer from the Broncos and visiting the City of Trees.

Brown is a three-star prospect, per 247Sports, ranked as the No. 152 recruit in Texas and No. 172 wideout in the nation. The 5-foot-8, 155-pound athlete hails from Argyle, north of Fort Worth.

As a junior last fall, Brown turned 51 receptions into 745 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also found the end zone on a pair of punt returns and a kickoff return.

In its first season with legendary Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten as head coach, Liberty Christian went 14-0 and captured its first title since 2007. Brown and the Warriors defeated Austin Regents in the TAPPS Division II state championship game.

Brown earned scholarship offers from Army, Buffalo, Colorado State, Connecticut, Navy, Ohio, Oregon State, Pittsburgh, Texas State, Toledo, Tulsa, USF, UTEP and more.

The all-state wide receiver burst onto the varsity scene in 2022 as a sophomore, totaling 593 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns on 53 grabs, and returning a kickoff for a touchdown.

Before hoisting a trophy on the gridiron, Brown won a TAPPS state title by running the 100-meter in 10.51 seconds in May 2023. At the Jesuit-Sheaner Relays earlier this spring, he ran the 200-meter in 21.27 seconds to finish in first place.

Boise State's group of 2024 signees was the highest-rated recruiting class of any current Mountain West program. The Broncos have secured some serious talent from Texas as of late, including Ashton Jeanty, Jambres Dubar, Taylen Green and Eric McAlister.

This year's roster features 15 players from the Lone Star State, including a trio of standout wide receivers in redshirt senior Latrell Caples, Indiana transfer Cam Camper and former five-star prospect Chris Marshall.
