PULLMAN, Wash. — After the collapse of the Pac-12, the future of sports at Washington State University and Oregon State University has been up in the air. Now, the two schools could be joining the West Coast Conference as affiliate members, with the exception of the schools' football and baseball programs, through 2026.
Sources with CBS Sports say that WCC officials are set to vote on a measure to add WSU and OSU for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons this Thursday.
The move will expand the WCC from nine teams to 11 and make WSU vs. Gonzaga basketball an in-conference matchup if the Zags choose to stay in the WCC.
For the 2024 football season, WSU and OSU agreed to play with the Mountain West. In baseball, both schools say they intend to play as independent teams per CBS Sports reports.
