BOISE -- Recruiting season is year-round for most college football programs.
On Monday, during what is considered the 'slowest' part of the year for the Boise State Bronco football team, coach Bryan Harsin sent out the very first 2019 'bat signal' tweet.
That bat signal was for Colorado high school senior Alec Pell.
Pell, a linebacker from Cherry Creek High School in Colorado, visited Boise State over the weekend. He announced his commitment to the Broncos on Monday.
He rushed for 617 yards and six touchdowns last fall.
Pell says he had offers from Iowa State, Colorado State and Cal.
