News and Notes
Wilson, as expected, seemed to shine in his agility drills and on-field workouts at the NFL Combine. Wilson ranked in the top-half of the wide receivers in vertical jump, broad jump, three-cone drill, 20-yard shuttle and 60-yard shuttle.
He also drew praise from a number of commentators for his efficient route-running and soft hands.
"Cedrick was really smooth on that line," said NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin, who now serves as an analyst on the NFL Network.
"This guy is a pretty good football player," added NFL Draft analyst Mike Mayock. "He's a really smooth athlete."
"Very smooth. Good hands," continued Mayock. "That's what he is on tape too. He's not twitchy. He's really smooth."

Mike Mayock, NFL Network: "They threw this kid 3-5 vertical takeoffs every game (at Boise State). He's got good speed, not great, but good speed. He has an ability to track the ball in the air though, kind of like a centerfielder. It wouldn't surprise me at all if this kid played baseball. He's a natural tracker of the football with good hands."
Charles Davis, NFL Network: "I thought his senior bowl week, he struggled getting off the line versus the press. That was a thing that he had to really work on. So he went back to his offseason training camp to work on it. You know who he got most of his work against? Derwin James."
