BOISE -- It was a historic night at the Stueckle Sky Center as Boise State inducted their first Hall of Fame class in more than a decade on Friday.
Two-time All-American Nate Potter, a hometown product out of Timberline High School, is now an offensive line coach at the College of Idaho. Potter is the only player in school history to earn All-American honors while simultaneously earning Academic All-American first team honors.
"At the time, you don't think about it," Potter said. "You're just trying to make coach Pete happy and knock out school and to accomplish both things in the class and on the field, it's really special because it vindicates all the hard work."
Potter's teammate, Kellen Moore, holds the record for most NCAA victories by a quarterback, 50-3.
Moore took a moment to reflect on his four years at Boise State, where he fell in love with the campus and the city.

"I love this place, fell in love with it during the recruiting process, was fortunate to come here and get an offer, fell in love with this place more and more the more I was around here," Moore said prior to his induction. "The Hall of Fame, that area of the stadium, when you first come in here, you went down there and it was cool to see all these names and all these faces around there and so to be a part of that was obviously awesome."
Moore added that the Broncos has a lot of great players, that their record wasn't a fluke.
Case in point, a handful of Bronco teammates are still playing with NFL teams.
Moore is now the quarterback's coach with the Dallas Cowboys.
Former Bronco golfer Graham DeLaet, the 2006 WAC Player of the Year, is the only three-time NCAA regional participant in school history.
DeLaet says he is surprised by what has happened professionally since his days at Boise State. He represented Canada at the 2016 Rio Olympics, played in the President's Cup and World Cup and, at one point, climbed into the 40 list.
"It's not something I expected by any means, but I guess it's a nice thing to have when Dan Potter is recruiting kids and he can use my name to try and help them out or whatever, I'm all for that, I'm a Bronco through and through," DeLaet said.
The 2018 Hall of Fame class also includes:
- "The Voice of the Broncos," for 35 years, Paul J. Schneider
- The 2009 NCAA National Indoor Track & Field long jump champion, Eleni Kafourou
- Abigail Ferguson, a ten-time Big Sky champion in several events
- Two-time NCAA national champion in the javelin throw (2004 & 2005), Gabriel Wallin
The entire 2018 class will be recognized prior to the 2018 spring scrimmage on Saturday, April 14.
