JEROME, Idaho — The Idaho Department of Fish and Game's Magic Valley Regional Office is holding two open houses where people can give input on three fisheries in the area.
The department said the setting of the Spring/Summer Chinook Salmon fishing season and bag limits for 2024, the re-writing of the 6-year statewide Fish Management Plan and the 2025-2027 statewide fishing seasons and rules are issues that impact local anglers and it wants their input.
"Idaho Fish and Game highly encourages angler input, so staff is also hosting meetings throughout the state to provide information and take comments in person. The collective voices of Idaho’s anglers help direct important decisions involving species and population management, as well as seasons and bag limits,' the department stated.
The first open house was on Feb. 13. The next one is in Hailey at the CSI Blaine County Center Community Campus in the Minne Moore Room on Feb. 20 from 6:30 p.m., to 8:30 p.m.
