IDAHO, USA — At the start of Thanksgiving week, the average cost for unleaded gasoline in the state of Idaho was $3.68 per gallon, reflecting a 7-cent from one week ago, according to GasBuddy

"As millions of Americans gear up to hit the road for Thanksgiving, the national average is seeing its longest streak of declines in over a year, reaching a ninth straight week as gas prices fall to their lowest since January," said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.

The average price for unleaded gasoline per gallon in the state's capital city of Boise is $3.67, nearly a 6-cent drop from last week. Although the new Boise average calculated just over a nickel less than last Monday's report, it is 24.1 cents less than one month ago and 53.8 cents less than one year ago.

GasBuddy's survey collected data from 216 stations around Boise.
