PENDLETON, Ore. — A stretch of eastbound Interstate 84 has reopened after wintry weather conditions in eastern Oregon shut it down Wednesday afternoon.
Both lanes were closed on a nearly 50-mile stretch between mileposts 216 and milepost 265.
The Oregon Department of Transportation reported multiple disabled vehicles in the area. Snow was also completely covering the highway in some spots.
The westbound lanes remained open, and the eastbound lanes had reopened by Wednesday evening.
Travelers are urged to slow down and use caution when driving on snowy or icy roads.
