HOMEDALE, Idaho — Drivers headed through Homedale will encounter construction starting this week.
The Idaho Transportation Department's work to replace the pavement on a segment of Idaho 19 kicks off June 14.
Crews will mill the old road surface and replace it, as well as upgrade crosswalks and pedestrian crossings in accordance with Americans with Disabilities standards.
The construction will happen five days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. between North 4th Street East and Railroad Avenue in downtown Homedale. Crews will maintain business access and sidewalk access or detours throughout.
The repair project is expected to wrap up in late summer.
ITD officials say drivers can expect a temporary gravel road surface during construction with two lanes of traffic, although detours or flagging is possible.
Drivers should slow down and keep an eye out for construction crews working along the area. For more information on the project, click here.
