NAMPA, Idaho — The intersection at Lone Star Road and North Middleton Road in Nampa will be closed to traffic from March 8-14. The Wilson Drain will be restored to its original alignment during the closure, according to a release from Nampa Mayor Debbie Kling.
Students at Lone Star Middle School who normally walk through the Lone Star and North Middleton Road intersection will be asked to ride a school bus temporarily for safety purposes while the construction occurs.
Temporary bus stops will be located at:
- Middleton Road and West Delaware Avenue
- Bus #147 pick-up at 6:51 a.m. / drop-off at 3:06 p.m.
- Lone Star Road and North Jefferson Street
- Bus #134 pick-up at 6:52 a.m. / drop-off at 3:05 p.m.
Detour signs will be put up at the intersection to allow access to residents and businesses. Drivers who need access to Lone Star Middle School will be able to enter from Midway Road.
The first phase of the construction project is expected to be complete by March 14. The timeline of the second phase, which will include widening the intersection and installing signage, is still being finalized.
