BAKER CITY, Ore — **UPDATE: I-84 eastbound closure was extended to Exit 265. As of 2:10 p.m. Wednesday, I-84E road closure is between Exit 265, four miles east of La Grande, and Exit 374, three miles west of Ontario. Westbound lanes of I-84 remain closed between Exit 304, north of Baker City, and Exit 374.

- U.S. Highway 30 (US 30) and Oregon Route 245 (OR 245) are closed to non-local traffic.

All lanes in both directions of Interstate 84 (I-84) in Eastern Oregon closed Wednesday morning due to a windmill tower crashing on the roadway.
According to Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), all eastbound and westbound lanes of I-84 were closed between Exit 304, north of Baker City, and Exit 374, three miles west of Ontario. ODOT stated the windmill tower crash was near milepost 332.
U.S. Highway 30 is not a viable detour route for travelers, as ODOT said the highway is closed to all non-local traffic.
As of 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, ODOT said the closure is expected to last several hours.
