BOISE, Idaho — Boise broke an 82-year-old heat record on Monday, the National Weather Service said.
At 7 a.m., the recorded temperature was 91 degrees. That's the highest since hourly records began being recorded in 1939.
The NWS says a shower that passed through the area and created a heat burst caused the high temperature.
Highs are expected to remain in the triple digits this week.
