IDAHO, USA — The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flood warning for some parts of Blaine County including Hailey, Eastern Ketchum, Sun Valley, and Bellevue.
The NWS states that the flooding is caused by an avalanche near Hailey that is blocking the Big Wood River. It also warns that snowmelt and rain could lead to more flooding.
The flooding is also effecting nearby low-lying and flood-prone locations. People can expect that there will be areas of slow moving or standing water. The warning is in effect until Wednesday at noon.
