Treasure Valley wakes up to the first snow of the season: Share your photos and videos in the KTVB app

Snow slowly accumulated overnight in parts of the Treasure Valley. Use the interactive 'Near Me' feature in our app to show us what you're seeing in your area.

BOISE, Idaho — Update: As residents in Boise and elsewhere in the Treasure Valley wake up to a snowy November Sunday morning, show us what you're seeing in your area by uploading photos and videos using the "Near Me" feature in the KTVB app.

Snow showers are expected to linger in the Treasure Valley through Sunday morning. You can also check our weather page for the latest forecast and weather information.

Original Saturday snow forecast story: A major change in Idaho's weather pattern was underway, from warm and dry to cold and snowy.  A winter weather advisory was issued Saturday for Blaine and Owyhee counties.

A large low-pressure system has dropped down the West Coast and will turn inland across California and Nevada later Saturday, spreading moisture into Idaho.  

A second low-pressure system will drop out of British Columbia into Oregon with colder air.  

Between the two systems, widespread rain and high elevation snow will develop through this evening, and snow levels will drop to the lowest valleys later Saturday night. 

Mountain areas will see snow mainly above 7500 feet, but snow levels will drop later this evening for widespread mountain snow of 3-8" or more through Sunday night.  

Valley locations will see rain change to snow overnight, with lingering snow showers on Sunday. Totals will be around an inch in the Treasure Valley, up to two inches in the Magic Valley.  

Much of it will melt on the ground, but some roads may be briefly slushy and slippery.
