Sorry skiers and snowboarders, whatever snow that does fall near McCall this weekend won't last for long.

BOISE, Idaho — Southwest Idaho has been enjoying warmer fall weather this week, and Friday's forecasted high will be in the mid to upper-70s.

But a winter storm will roll in this weekend bringing cooler temperatures throughout the region and light snow in some higher elevations.

The storm could also bring up to a half-inch of rain to lower elevations between Saturday night and Sunday morning. The high temperatures on Sunday will hover around the mid-50s.

The system is expected to pull in air from the Pacific Northwest, which should help clear out some of the lingering smoke and haze in the Treasure Valley.

Light snow is possible for areas above 5,000 feet. That means McCall and Sun Valley could see some snow but it won't be cold enough for it to stick around for long.

Warmer temps will move in behind the storm, bringing highs to the mid-to-upper 60s.
