BOISE, Idaho — A winter storm watch will be in effect from Friday evening through the weekend.
The storm is expected to drop 15 to 30 inches in the mountains, making travel difficult. More minor accumulations are expected for the Treasure Valley, although some areas could get several inches.
The storm will bring a blast of arctic air into the area, and could signal just the beginning of a colder and snowier weather pattern for southwest Idaho.
