GoFundMe for accident victim

Donald Mattocks of Boise died after being struck by several vehicles. The GoFundMe was started by his family.

BOISE, Idaho — Donald Mattocks, a 69-year-old from Boise was killed after police said he was "struck by several vehicles" on Overland Rd. in Boise on Nov. 1 around 9:40 p.m. His family has started a GoFundMe to help pay for his final expenses.

"I am hoping the community of Boise and the people who cared about my uncle will help my family with the arrangements necessary to see that my uncle deserves a better ending than the one that he was shown the night he passed. You will be so missed Uncle Ducky. We love you!!," stated Mattock's niece, Megan Mattocks, in the fundraiser.

According to the GoFundMe, Mattocks was known as "Uncle Ducky," and "was a loving son, brother, uncle, and “old man” as we affectionately referred to him," Megan stated.

Mattocks served in the army and lived in the Boise area for 30 years.

"He was a stone's throw away from his home he shared with my mother and his identical twin brother when he was tragically killed," the GoFundMe stated.

The Boise Police Department is still actively investigating the incident.
