BOISE, Idaho — The man who died in a motorcycle crash in Boise on May 10 was identified by the Ada County Coroner as 26-year-old Sandeep Dhakal of Boise.
According to the coroner's office, Dhakal died from his injuries Friday, May 10 at approximately 8:40 p.m. after being involved in a motorcycle crash earlier that same day near the intersection of W. Boise Avenue and W. Beacon Street.
"Evidence indicates the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed on Beacon St. towards Boise Ave. when he lost control of the motorcycle, drove onto the sidewalk, and crashed into a large tree. The rider was ejected from the motorcycle and into the roadway," a news release from the Boise Police Department stated.
He was pronounced dead in the emergency room of Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise after life-saving efforts were made. His cause of death was blunt force trauma, according to the coroner.
Boise Police Department is investigating the motorcycle crash.
