BOISE, Idaho — Cirque du Soleil has added a seventh performance to its Treasure Valley stop in February after hitting its fastest sales record in Boise, the circus producer announced Wednesday.
The newly-added show will be held on Feb. 28 at 4 p.m at the ExtraMile Arena. Tickets went on sale Wednesday at 10 a.m.
The production, named OVO for the Portuguese word for egg, will run from Feb. 27 to March 1, 2020. The shows will feature high-level acrobatic acts hand balancing, contortion, aerial straps, slackwire, "and a signature finale mixing trampoline, tumbling and rock climbing," according to the company.
The theme of the show is a colorful ecosystem in the insect world, and the way its inhabitants react when a mysterious egg appears in their midst.
This will mark Cirque du Soleil's first return to Boise since 2012. Ticket prices range from $33-125 for adults, and start at $25 for children. Discounts are available for seniors, military members and students.
