BOISE, Idaho — Boise is a melting pot of cultures and communities.
That includes the Basque community, which you can find throughout the Treasure Valley. At Bishop Kelly High School, students created a club to celebrate that culture.
"The Basque block downtown, it's kind of in the old downtown area, and it's a whole block just there's a plethora of restaurants," Carley Calovich, president of the Bishop Kelly Basque Club said. "You have Ansots, Epi's Basque restaurant. There are places where you can experience dance and music."
Calovich said she tries to plan a meeting once a month for members.
"It's usually food-related because there's a lot of opportunities with food. Or I go to the Basque Museum."
She adds she plans to do a big event at the end of the year.
