BOISE, Idaho — On Saturday, Dec. 14, a two-vehicle collision occurred and Idaho State Police are investigating.
On US26, near milepost 391, Idaho State Police (ISP) troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on westbound US26.
A 66-year-old Shelley, Idaho man, was driving a 2018 Jeep Renegade eastbound when it crossed the center line. The Jeep collided with a 2020 Freight 114SD Snowplow that was driving westbound, ISP said in a news release.
The snowplow was driven by a 48-year-old man from Swan Valley.
The driver of the Jeep succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash. The Jeep passenger, a 67-year-old woman, sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
The Jeep passenger, as well as both drivers, were all wearing seatbelts, said a news release.
All lanes of US26 were closed for roughly four hours on Saturday while crews worked the scene.
Idaho State Police were assisted by Wyoming Highway Patrol, Idaho Transportation Department, Idaho Falls Ambulance, Swan Valley Fire Department and Bonneville Sheriff's Office.
