New playground opens in neighborhood park in Nampa

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Tuesday at Kings Road Park.

NAMPA, Idaho — Children in Nampa now have another place to play.

The Nampa Parks and Recreation Department opened a newly-constructed playground Tuesday afternoon at Kings Road Park. It replaces an outdated playground.

Officials say the new features on the modern play structures give kids the opportunity to stay active while using the playground.

Kings Road Park is a small neighborhood park that is around three acres. It offers users a playground, fitness trail and open areas.

Last month, the city of Nampa opened a new playground at Liberty Park. It also replaced an outdated play structure.

Both playgrounds were funded through the Community Development Block Grant.
