BOISE, Idaho — With two large fires burning in eastern Oregon, the impacts are being felt heavily in the Treasure Valley.

Between the Cow Valley Fire and the Durkee Fire, more than 200,000 acres have been burned in the Malheur Reservoir area in Oregon.

For some in Idaho, they are seeing ash fall and the smell of smoke is ever present.

Smoke will continue to impact the region Tuesday, with air quality expected to be in the "Orange" or Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups category in Boise today and worsening to Unhealthy or even Very Unhealthy in eastern Oregon where the Durkee Fire continues to burn.

Smoke levels and air quality can fluctuate often throughout the day as mid- and low-level winds shift, so visit AirNow.gov to stay up to date on air quality in your area.
