BOISE, Idaho — Three Treasure Valley squads sit atop their classification's rankings after several changes in the latest Idaho high school football state media poll.
Undefeated Fruitland swept the first-place votes at the 4A level, marking the third consecutive week with a new No. 1 team in the statewide rankings. The Grizzlies' move comes after Weiser upset previously top-ranked Homedale 30-6 on Friday.
The Wolverines were one of three squads to soar into the rankings ahead of Week 7, joining Madison (6A) and Hagerman (2A). No. 1 Fruitland visits No. 3 Homedale in a matchup of 4A Snake River Valley Conference leaders Friday night.
Rocky Mountain remains the unanimous No. 1 in the 6A rankings after improving to 6-0 with a 31-7 victory at Meridian. No. 2 Eagle and No. 3 Rigby move up in the state media poll following wins over Owyhee and Highland respectively.
