BOISE, Idaho — Following a bye week, the Boise State Broncos beat UNLV in Las Vegas 29-24 on Friday, Oct. 25, and with that win, jumped two places in the Associated Press Top 25 College Football Poll.
The Broncos received 46 points in the AP Poll, bringing the total amount to 619. In the Coaches Poll, the team has 479 points.
"Boise State has the nation’s 13th-best scoring offense (45.0 ppg) and total offense (510.0 ypg) to compile a 6-1 (3-0 MW) record this season. The only demerit on the slate so far was a 37-34 decision at then-No. 7/6 and now No. 1/1 Oregon as the Ducks hit a field goal as time expired to escape the Bronco threat," a news release stated.
The team is also third in the nation for sacks.
"Boise State already holds the distinction of the nation’s best record while ranked in the AP Top 25 poll. Following last week’s win, the Blue and Orange are now 117-21 (.848) while ranked by the AP, the best record of any team over the past 40 years," the release stated.
The Broncos next game is on The Blue, hosting San Diego State on Nov. 1, kickoff at 6:00 p.m. MST.
