BOISE, Idaho — In two weeks the Boise State Broncos have jumped eight slots in the the Associated Press Top 25 Poll. This week, the Broncos moved from 21 to 17, and came in at 22 in the US LBM Coaches Poll, entering for the first time this season.
The number 17 ranking is the highest the team has been at since October 2019 when they were at 14. This is also the first time since 2020 that the Broncos were in both polls.
"Boise State has the nation's best scoring offense (50.6 ppg) and third-ranked total offense (537.6 ypg) to compile a 4-1 (1-0 MW) record this season. The only demerit on the slate so far was a 37-34 decision at then-No. 7/6 Oregon as the Ducks hit a field goal as time expired to escape the Bronco threat," stated a news release.
The Broncos received 463 points in the AP poll this week, getting an increase of 210 votes. In the US LBM Coaches Poll, the team got 213 votes.
"Boise State already holds the distinction of the nation's best record while ranked in the AP Top 25 poll. Following last night's win, the Blue and Orange are now 115-21 (.846) while ranked by the AP, the best record of any team over the past 40 years," the release stated.
Bronco fans are also making news; this weekend had the fifth largest crowd in school history at 37,210.
The Broncos next game is Oct. 12 at Hawai'i at 9:00 p.m. MT.
