MERIDIAN, Idaho — Pine Avenue is open again following a gas leak that closed Pine between Meridian and Linder roads earlier Wednesday afternoon.

Ada County Dispatch said Wednesday night that it appears a construction worker accidentally broke a gas line.

According to Meridian Police, buses from Meridian Elementary School were running about 20 minutes late, and students were not being allowed to walk.

Parents were notified about the situation.

Police did not say exactly where the gas leak occurred, but said Intermountain Gas Company was working to fix the leak.
