Wood River High School has implemented a system called W.I.N., or What I Need, to keep students focused and organized.

"W.I.N. periods were designed to help our students get extra support and opportunities to grow in all of their classes," said Vice Principal Samantha Johnson.

"This is a great time to catch up on missing work, retake tests, get reteaching on things you didn't quite understand, and build on what you're already learning in your classrooms."

W.I.N. periods offer students an opportunity to have the freedom to choose their schedules. Every Monday, students are encouraged to sign up for a class of their choice ranging from relaxation to retakes.

"If you're all caught up, there are plenty of 'WINS' that are fun, where you can hang out with your friends," said student Jack Tierney.
